Over-limit of vehicle running on motorway and highway is an important factor for accident and a common problem. LiDAR provides a series of smart traffic solution. It enables inspection of over-wide and high vehicle, profile identification and speed detection on-line. Feedback of detected data is provided through PC-end software. Warning will be received and movement is stopped when the data is beyond safe range, avoiding over-limit vehicle damaging infrastructure or injuring life.

Solution 1: Speedometer, Traffic Statistics and Vehicle Identification
Application:
Two TF02/TF03 devices are installed close to ground and beside carriage lane. Traffic information such as vehicle speed, flow and tire spacing is counted by detecting distance variation of tire in part between chassis and ground.
Advantages:
Technology: Direct output of traffic information such as vehicle speed, flow and tire spacing is possible with built-in algorithm. The detection frequency is as high as 10 kHz and adjustable between 1 Hz and 10K Hz. The algorithm covers low-speed vehicle and high-speed vehicle application scenarios at the same time.
Application:
It is IP67 insulated and conveniently integrated into system thanks to its compact size. When external stationary pile is available, it is easily installed and commissioned. It supports different ports such as 232, 485, CAN, 4-20mA, I/O, UART, etc.

Solution 2: Double Lane Determination and Flow Detection
Application:
Two TF03 devices are installed vertically on exhaust monitoring equipment on both sides of two-lane road. High chassis big vehicle and small vehicle is measured simultaneously in horizontal detection on lane direction. Current vehicle position on lane is determined and flow measured according to distance of passing vehicle to both sides of the road, triggering exhaust detector to measure exhaust.

Solution3: Traffic Statistics and Vehicle Identification - TF03
Application:
A device, with two TF03s and a controlling panel is installed right above the lane, one for vertically downward detection and another for skew detection. The controlling panel will collect data detected by the two TF03s, and then finish Traffic statistics and vehicle identification with its integrated self-developed machine leaning algorithm. And also, TF03, integrated with a simple traffic statistics algorithm, can finish traffic statistics itself.

Solution 4: Vehicle Length, Width and Height Detection - Over-Limit Detection Solution
Application:
Multiple TF series single-point LiDAR devices are installed on two rows of gantry. Gantry is divided into multiple sections by four meters and the devices are installed alternately on both rows of gantry. The device transmits vehicle length, width and height through detection system.
Advantages:
Technology: The device has high detection precision, stable performance and high glare resistance performance.
Application: It is easily integrated into the system with simple wiring. The failure of individual radar does not affect the detection on entire lane.

Solution 5: Over-height Vehicle Detection by Using Smart Height Limit Bar - TF03
Application:
A TF03 device is installed on a height limit bar usually placed in front of viaduct or tunnel on road for lateral detection to horizontal direction. It detects the distance is reduced, indicating the passing vehicle height is over the limit (e.g., 2.5 m). At the moment, the alarm light flickers and camera is triggered to take photos, then the broadcast is on, advising the vehicle to turn back. The limit bar will be raised automatically to suitable height, allowing ambulance or bus to pass when it is detected over 2.8m high.
