一、Overview of 3D AOS LiDAR

3D high performance LiDAR Object Monitoring system is composed of three major parts: main control board (with built-in algorithm), LiDAR, and ceiling mounting bracket:

1. Monitor module (3D LiDAR): LiDAR module provides main raw point cloud data
2. The main control board: The software part internally integrates the algorithm SDK interface, which is convenient for the customer's secondary integration; the internal hardware consists of the communication air plug interface, 220V power interface, and the circuit board
3. Ceiling mounting bracket: Structured design facilitates installation

3D LiDAR object monitoring system has the characteristics of fast response, high accuracy and reliability. It is installed on the beam support of the tunnel, and the detection is carried out vertically downwards to carry out all-round detection. For instance, with a tunnel length of 80m and a height of 8m, by calculating the horizontal and vertical angles of the LiDAR, only two LiDARs are needed to cover the entire tunnel area.

After the whole system is installed to the track at the top of the tunnel, the tunnel can be detected in real-time within 200m range. Even at a distance of 130m, LiDAR can detect objects with a resolution of 5cm. It’s just like anyone would see a little magic cube that 130m far away.

The object monitoring system is based on Benewake Horn-X high-precision 3D LiDAR. It has a large field angle of 90 ° * 30 ° to generate a high-density point cloud with a high resolution of 0.09 ° * 0.09 °. At the same time, the built-in algorithm has the functions of segmenting the ground and clustering to obtain the position information and distance information of detected objects.
