TF03 works in the time-of-flight (TOF) principle to generate excellent and consistent performance within the working range.  As an industrial-grade sensor, Benewake TF03 contains an impressive signal processing circuit that provides great detection range of up to 180m. The non-detection-zone of the LiDAR is limited to10cm. It works pretty well in both bright and dark conditions, which makes it a better alternate to cameras.

Compact design with durable construction   

Different from most 360 degree mechanical scanning LiDAR, TF03 is a complete solid-state LiDAR that reached mass production stage. Zero-rotary-component design makes it stable and reliable for assembly lines.

Alongside the solid-state structure, TF03 comes in a compact size. Therefore, the device can be mounted in limited spaces without impacting on the performance. The outer case is made of the aluminum alloy with an infrared band-pass glass. It is resistant to both shock and vibration. Control is based on sensor information from on-board sensors. LiDAR based ACC system allows the vehicle to brake when it detects the car is approaching another vehicle ahead, then accelerate when traffic allows it to.
