According to the agreement, both parties will deepen cooperation in the field of rail transportation operation and maintenance using technologies such as LiDAR, IoT, and AI. They will also jointly establish a rail transportation LiDAR intelligent perception laboratory and promote the development of disciplines combining AI sensors with rail transportation. Based on their existing successful cooperation experience, the two sides will strive to achieve independent and controllable domestic alternatives in the field of smart equipment and intelligent maintenance for intelligent rail transportation, and promote the fully automated operation and safe operation of the new generation of rail transportation, in line with China's development strategy of becoming a "transportation power".
As one of the earliest domestic enterprises to independently research and develop and produce LiDAR, Benewake's market has covered more than 41 countries and regions worldwide, providing LiDAR products and services to 12 of the top 15 economies in the world. After signing a strategic cooperation agreement, both parties jointly released the "Radar Application White Paper for the Rail Transit Industry (2020 edition)" (hereinafter referred to as the "White Paper"). At the press conference, experts from Jiaxing Feihong Intelligent Technology Research Institute introduced the background and main contents of the "White Paper", while Professor Zhong Zhangdui from Beijing Jiaotong University provided expert interpretation.

This is the first white paper in the industry that focuses on the comprehensive application of radar technology in rail transit scenarios. It comprehensively analyzes how traditional rail transit networks rely on radar technology for situational awareness to provide guarantees for safe and reliable urban transportation systems under the new situation of innovation-driven development. It also looks forward to the development trend of intelligent rail transit empowering new technology cities to promote the continuous improvement of the level of intelligent application in the rail transit industry.
