A single-point LiDAR is equipped with an AR projection/visible light indicator module and integrated smart sensing devices, which can be installed in the trunk. The LiDAR spot overlaps with the AR projection cursor/visible indicator light cursor. The LiDAR determines whether the user is stepping on the cursor by detecting changes in distance and other characteristic values. This works in conjunction with the vehicle's overall system to achieve AR projection, step detection, and tailgate opening and closing functions. It allows for the automatic opening and closing of the car's tailgate without any physical contact with the vehicle.

1. Easier to trigger than capacitive type

The AR light and shadow sensing tailgate equipped with single-point LiDAR has a detection response sensitivity, with a success rate of over 99% for opening. When a user triggers the AR projection at the rear of the vehicle and steps on the cursor, the system can automatically and quickly sense this action and respond promptly. Compared to traditional "kick-to-open" sensing tailgate technology, it significantly reduces the likelihood of sensing failures, thereby avoiding the embarrassment of repeated attempts to open the tailgate without success.

With precise sensing technology (high-sensitivity sensors and intelligent recognition algorithms), specific trigger condition settings (designated operational area), strong environmental adaptability (unaffected by weather and objects such as plants or metals under the vehicle chassis), and comprehensive user operation feedback (visual and step detection), the system effectively reduces the probability of false triggers.

3. Visible trigger projection pattern

Using optical projection technology, a corresponding pattern or marker is projected onto the ground at a certain distance from the tailgate. Thanks to the high directivity of the single-point LiDAR, the radar spot perfectly aligns with the projection. Users only need to lightly step on the projected pattern for the tailgate to automatically open or close. This visual operation method allows users to clearly see the opening area and operation instructions for the tailgate, making the operation more convenient and intuitive, without the need to search or guess the sensing area as in traditional methods.
