TF-NOVA LiDAR is the industry's first one-dimensional area detection solution. It achieves wide horizontal sensing from a single static sensor. This provides a much simpler alternative to the mechanical scanners or multi-sensor arrays typically required by conventional point-beam LiDAR. It features a compact design, multiple interfaces, a waterproof lens, and versatility for both indoor and outdoor use. Its extensive command set ensures seamless integration.

Line Pattern Laser Beam: One Shot, One Horizontal Plane

Unlike conventional point-beam LiDAR that illuminates a single spot, TF-NOVA projects a 14°×1° horizontal laser line — covering a 25cm-wide detection zone at 1m distance in a single static measurement. For robotics integrators, this offers a simpler alternative to mechanical scanning or multi-sensor arrays to achieve the same horizontal field, reducing system complexity, component count, and integration overhead.

Compact Size, Seamless Robot Integration

At just 26.5 × 21.05 × 12mm and under 5g, TF-NOVA proximity sensor is smaller than a AA battery. It provides great convenience and flexibility to be integrated into space-constrained robot platforms, AGVs, and industrial automation systems.

Reliable Obstacle Detection Indoors and Out
TF-NOVA proximity sensor reliably detects targets as small as 5cm at 10% reflectivity within 2m — even under direct sunlight up to 100KLux. In practice, this means reliably sensing dark-colored objects such as black vehicles within 2m in outdoor summer conditions.
